Out of bounds

Out of bounds is defined by the course perimeter and black-topped stakes. The clubhouse car park is also out of bounds.

Red penalty areas

All penalty areas are lateral red penalty areas, defined by red pegs or plates.

Mandatory relief from staked trees

Free relief must be taken when a staked tree or shrub interferes with stance or swing. Stakes and guards are immovable obstructions.

Watering equipment and line-of-play relief

Watering equipment and its spray are immovable obstructions. Additional line-of-play relief applies when an obstruction is on or within two club-lengths of the green and within two club-lengths of the ball.

Ground under repair

Ground under repair is identified by white lines, stakes or signs.

Garden-bed no-play zones

All garden beds are ground under repair and no-play zones. Free relief is mandatory when they interfere with the ball, stance or intended swing.

Orange dropping zones

Dropping zones are marked by orange stakes. Use the nearest stake, even if closer to the hole, and drop without penalty within two club-lengths in any direction.

Turf nursery beside hole 4

The turf nursery beside the 4th fairway is ground under repair and a no-play zone. Drop without penalty within two club-lengths of the nearest orange drop stake.

Washaways in bunkers

A ball in a washaway in a bunker may be lifted and dropped without penalty in the bunker, no nearer the hole.
