Local Rules
Out of bounds
Out of bounds is defined by boundary fences and white stakes with black tops.
Constructed paths and gardens
Constructed paths and defined garden beds are abnormal course conditions; the dropping zone behind the 11th green may be used where specified.
Ground under repair
Wheel ruts, washaways, exposed tree roots and damage caused by kangaroos or birds are treated as ground under repair under the stated conditions.
Artificial bunker walls
Stacked artificial-turf bunker walls are integral objects and do not provide free relief.
Mandatory relief from protected trees
Staked trees and shrubs are no-play zones; free relief must be taken when they interfere with lie, stance or intended swing.
Near-green obstruction relief
Line-of-play relief is available from qualifying immovable obstructions close to a putting green.
4th-hole protective fence
When the protective fence on the 4th hole intervenes on the line of play, use the designated dropping zone.
18th-hole guy wires
A stroke that hits a guy wire on the 18th hole does not count and must be replayed.
Red-penalty-area stake relief
When a red penalty-area stake interferes with a ball played from inside that penalty area, relief is available within the penalty area.
