Course-boundary out of bounds
Boundary fences, the clubhouse and its concrete surrounds, and car parks are out of bounds.
Lost ball or out-of-bounds alternative relief
For a lost ball or out-of-bounds ball, use the two-stroke Stroke-and-Distance Local Rule unless a provisional ball was played.
Near-green obstruction relief
Free relief is available when an immovable obstruction within two club-lengths of the putting green interferes with the line of play and the ball is also within two club-lengths.
Root, stump and animal-damage relief
Specified exposed tree roots, tree stumps and animal-damaged areas in the general area are ground under repair with free relief; root and stump relief does not apply to stance-only interference.
Power-line replay
If a ball is known or virtually certain to hit a power line, tower, supporting wire or pole, the stroke does not count and the ball must be replayed without penalty.
Road and path relief
All roads and paths, surfaced or not, are immovable obstructions with free relief under Rule 16.1.

Gawler Golf Club officially became Sandy Creek Golf Club - Barossa Valley in 2015, with the current Sandy Creek venue independently mapped as an 18-hole course near the Barossa Valley. The former Gawler club now plays as Sandy Creek
