Out of bounds
Out of bounds includes beyond the club boundary fences, clubhouse walls and verandahs, the path behind the first tee, the white-lined path by the 18th green, and the white-posted areas near the 12th green, 13th tee and 13th fairway.
Protected trees and ground under repair
Mandatory free relief applies from staked or guarded trees and shrubs that interfere with stance or intended swing. Ground under repair includes white-marked areas, white-disc gardens, defined motor-vehicle ruts and clearly bird-damaged general-area ground.
Dropping zones
Course dropping zones are marked by yellow stakes labelled Drop Zone Stake. When taking relief from the stated condition, the ball may be dropped within one club length of the stake, no nearer the hole.
Sprinkler-head relief
Fixed sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions. The specified close-to-putting-green line-of-play relief applies when both the ball and obstruction are within two club lengths of the green, subject to the clearly-impracticable-stroke exception.
