Local Rules

Out of bounds

Out of bounds is beyond the inside line at ground level of fence posts, white stakes with black tops or a wall.

Ground under repair

White-staked or lined areas, cultivated garden beds, clearly defined wheel ruts, bunker washaways, cut-turf seams and rough-area ground tree stumps are ground under repair, subject to the stated garden and stance-only exceptions.

Penalty-area dropping zones

For one penalty stroke, marked red penalty areas at holes 5, 6, 8 and 9 have an additional artificial dropping-zone option; the penalty area between holes 11 and 12 also allows opposite-side lateral relief for one penalty stroke.

Road, path and caution-post relief

All roads and paths, including unsurfaced paths and artificial edging, are immovable obstructions with free relief. White posts with orange tops also allow free relief when they interfere with the ball's lie, stance or swing.

Course Intelligence

Course Character

The natural setting is part of the strategy: range views, couch fairways, water and changing lies ask for thoughtful club and landing-zone choices. Murrumbidgee is an 18-hole Kambah course beneath the Brindabella Mountains, with a tree-lined side and a more open, links-like side described by visitors. Canberra bush golf under the Brindabellas
