Out of bounds
Out of bounds is defined by the perimeter fence, white stakes with black tops and the motel wall where specified.
Ground under repair
Wheel ruts, bunker washaways, qualifying fairway roots and aeration holes or seams receive the relief specified by the Local Rules.
Immovable obstructions
Penalty-area and other listed artificial stakes, posts and paths are immovable obstructions and receive free relief.
Artificial bunker lining
Artificial bunker lining that interferes with lie, stance or swing is treated as an abnormal course condition.
Mandatory relief from protected trees
Staked young trees are no-play zones and mandatory free relief must be taken.
Near-green obstruction relief
Model Local Rule F-5 provides line-of-play relief from qualifying immovable obstructions close to a putting green.
Cut turf seams
Interference by seams of cut turf is treated under the published Model Local Rule.
Designated dropping zones
The published dropping zones apply at the specified locations on holes 7, 11, 15 and 17.
Protective screen between holes 14 and 16
When the screen between the 14th and 16th holes interferes as specified, relief is taken in the nearest designated dropping zone.
Provisional ball for a penalty area
A provisional ball may be played under the published Model Local Rule when a ball may be lost in the specified penalty area.

The course rewards a deliberate position game: the creek and multiple pin options make the angle into the green matter. Ryde-Parramatta is a private par-71 course in West Ryde with gently undulating fairways, sloping bent-grass greens and Archer Creek in play on much of the layout. A Ross Watson championship course in Sydney’s inner west.

Archer Creek The club says Archer Creek comes into play on 14 holes, so a conservative line can save more than a heroic recovery. Opening-hole trouble The official tour places a fairway bunker, trees and a stream around the first hole’s preferred line.
